I am destroyed!” The ailing actor was hospitalized at Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday morning after he complained that he was not feeling well. According to the report, Rishi breathed his last at the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai. His wife and actor Neetu Kapoor was by his side. His brother Randhir Kapoor has confirmed to a media house that, “Rishi is no more”. Minutes earlier, Amitabh Bachchan has Tweeted the news, who has been a friend and colleague of Rishi for years.

Rishi Kapoor was the 2nd son of legendry Raj Kapoor, and grandson of the veteran Prithviraj Kapoor and the sibling of Randhir, Ritu Nanda, Rima Jain, and Rajeev Kapoor. He started his film career as a child actor in his father’s movie Mera Naam Joker in 1970. His role as a child artist made him famous, and for which he achieved a Filmfare Award. In 1973 his first role as an adult came in the iconic Bobby opposite Dimple Kapadia. He also received the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1974.

Rishi was most favorable for his cuteness. He has given a lot of hit films like Karz, Laila Majnu, Rafoo Chakkar, Amar Akbar Anthony, Sargam, Bol Radha Bol. He played the romantic lead in 92 films between 1973 and 2000 and was awarded the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008. He appeared opposite his future wife Neetu Singh in 12 films. After getting the news many personalities took to the micro-blogging site to pay a tribute to the legendary actor.
